The PS5 is coming in 2020. What games should we be looking forward to?
The “best ps5 exclusive games” is a question that has been asked by many gamers. There are many games on the PS5, but what is the best one?
Our favorite PS5 exclusive is Returnal (pic: Sony)
As one reader aspires for a Peggle 3, the Friday Inbox tackles the ancient art of video game review.

The top two So, due to GC’s news piece, I was finally able to get my hands on a PlayStation 5, which should arrive shortly. But, for obvious reasons, I wasn’t banking on it, therefore I have no idea what games to acquire, despite the fact that there are just a few. At the moment, I’m just considering exclusives (though I may attempt to pick up Guardians Of The Galaxy on Black Friday), so which should it be? Assuming I can afford two for the time being.
Returnal and Demon’s Souls seem to be GC’s favorites, although they’re similar in that they’re both very difficult third-person action games with a lot of exploring. So, because it’s spanking new, I’m thinking of just one and going with Returnal? Except that I don’t believe the visuals are supposed to be really impressive, so that seems like a waste.
I already own Spider-Man: Miles Morales, so I can easily update that, but Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart doesn’t appeal to me. I’ve never been a fan of the prior games, and although I’d want to see the visuals in person, they don’t seem to be very lengthy or tough, so I’m going to pass.
As a result, the obvious task for me is the Final Fantasy 7 remake. I wasn’t a huge fan of the original, but I did appreciate it when it came out, and the reviews for the remake have all been excellent. It’s technically a PlayStation 4 game, but I never got around to purchasing it, and I think it’d be a fun lengthy challenge, especially with the new DLC.
I’m curious as to what others consider to be the finest games; is there anything clear that I’m overlooking in my considerations? Daxon
Unicorns are on my want list. I just discovered Peggle and have really loved both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions. Once you’ve gotten into Peggle, progressing and unlocking new challenges and unique powers becomes a lot of fun. Peggle has a lot of stages to proceed through, and I think it merits a third game.
All 15 special powers from Peggle 1 and 2 should be included, as well as fresh new levels for each of the Peggle masters, each with 10 stages and challenges, to make this a real Peggle sequel with plenty of multiplayer fun.
Of course, no official announcements or plans have been made, but Peggle 3 is a game that I believe people will want to see happen and be done even better than its predecessors. Be rotting, gaz (gamertag)
Play the game first, then write about it. On Thursday, I found Mitchell’s letter and your answer to be quite fascinating. Would it be possible to put up an article discussing the process that occurs when you evaluate a game? I don’t remember you having done it previously. Is there a holy book stashed away someplace to assure consistency? Has this altered when various individuals take up the reviews over time? How can you get over preconceived notions about particular game genres?
I’m not going to ask hundreds of questions. I’m sure you understand the sense of what I’m saying. I won’t be upset if you don’t respond; it’s just my Asperger’s surfacing.
Have a wonderful day. Dirtystopout PS: I’m working on a Reader’s Feature on my experiences with Dark Souls 3 when the gauntlet was put down to me. It isn’t going good at all!
GC: From our viewpoint, it’s not a very difficult procedure, so we’re not sure what to tell you. Please feel free to ask any questions that come to mind. However, the answer to the issue of prejudice is… don’t be biased? If you can’t do it yourself, hire a freelancer to conduct the review, which is what we do for sports games and serious racers.

After a quarter-year, I thought I’d take a minute to remind everyone that if you join up for Crunchyroll (for a free two-week trial), you’ll get a ticket for a three-month trial of Xbox Game Pass.
When I signed up for the latter, I had to make up an American address for some reason. Hopefully, if I fail to cancel, they will have a hard time collecting any money from me. The deal will expire on October 31st.
Now I only have three months to finish Psychonauts 2 and AI: The Somnium Files (or whatever the hell it’s called). Dowland, Joseph Psychonauts 2 (PC), Resident Evil 6 (PC), and Castlevania 3 (PC) are now available (Switch)
GC: We’re not aware of any subscription service for which you can’t quickly cancel/turn off auto-renewal and then just wait till it expires.
Copy in a box On November 23rd, Special Reserve Games (not the UK mail order firm that went bankrupt) will release a physical copy of Death’s Door for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
The game will be available for a short period between November 23rd 2021 and January 7th 2022, but you can’t pre-order it now. Shadow Of The Colossus is currently being played by Andrew J. (PS4 version on PS5)
Purchases made with caution RE: squandering money on games that I’ve given up on I made it seem like I was purchasing games left, right, and center and not caring if I didn’t enjoy them, but this isn’t the case.
I’ve been using GC as a source for reviews since the Teletext days, so it’s not often that I purchase a game that I don’t like.
I don’t simply go by reviews; if a game gets a nice rating but there’s something about that genre of game that I don’t enjoy, I’m not going to purchase it just because of the review. Both Deathloop and Far Cry 6 received great reviews, but I was not interested in purchasing either for a variety of reasons.
I work hard for my money, therefore I would never squander it on a game if I felt there was a possibility I wouldn’t enjoy it, and if that happens, I attempt to sell it as soon as possible to recover as much as I can. Mitchell
Various brushstrokes People are sharpening their knives for Call Of Duty: Vanguard at the moment, and I understand why, but I think they’re delusory if they believe it won’t be a major smash, even greater than Battlefield. Although Call of Duty has had its ups and downs in the past, Battlefield has never come close to matching it.
Call of Duty is just more enticing to the general public: you go about shooting people in the face, and that’s all. With Battlefield, you’ll have to make up with massive levels, vehicles, and the risk of not seeing another player for many minutes. That never occurs in Call Of Duty, not because it is superior, but because it is unique. Griffin

World you’re familiar with The fact that Halo Infinite has gone open world isn’t the biggest problem, in my opinion. I believe it’s because it’s gone open world, and it seems that you spend a lot of time moving about wreaking havoc by destroying enemy camps and chasing highlighted map symbols.
There was also a scene when you utilized detective vision to inspect a building in one camp and turn its fuel tanks orange. That made me cringe a little, as someone who is almost through with Horizon Zero Dawn and has been bored of that kind of gameplay since before I even began.
I believe that games may be open world without depending significantly on over-used tropes (open world or otherwise), therefore I’m hoping it accomplishes more. I’m thinking the same thing about Forbidden West, and I’ll be disappointed if the bulk of gameplay from two of the most significant new PlayStation and Xbox exclusives is pitted against Far Cry (whether it’s 2012’s Far Cry 3 or the current iteration). also-rans in your inbox Rocket: Robot On Wheels and Space Station Silicon Valley were referenced by Onibee the other day. Many times on these pages, I’ve expressed my admiration for both of these games. Even though both had a few flaws, they were ahead of their time and enjoyable to play. Is there anything that remakes can’t fix? Welch, Tony
Just a short word for those of you who have Amazon Prime…. On PC, Prime Gaming is now offering Star Wars Squadrons for free, while Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available on Monday. Have a good time, everyone. The Dude Gives Up
The topic for this week’s Hot Topic is Because it’s Halloween this weekend, the next Hot Topic question is: What’s the scariest video game you’ve ever played?
What is the most terrifying experience you’ve ever had? It doesn’t have to come from a horror game. What do you believe games do better or worse than other media when it comes to horror? How does it compare to how terrified you’ve been by a movie or TV program, and what do you think games do better or worse than other media when it comes to horror?
What game has the creepiest vibe, even if it’s not terrifying, and have you ever had to quit playing because of it? (To prevent it being mentioned by everyone, the dogs leaping through the window scene from Resident Evil is off-limits in this Hot Topic.)
